'Nazmi Faiz's return is a backward step for his career' - Safee Sali

The Johor Darul Takzim forward believes that Nazmi Faiz has wasted a golden opportunity, that many dream of having, by deciding to depart from SC Beira-Mar
Safee Sali believes that Nazmi Faiz should have made full use of his golden opportunity with Portuguese top flight side SC Beira-Mar, instead of returning back to Malaysian shores.

The young midfielder has signed a three-year deal with PKNS FC after deciding to leave Europe, and Safee Sali believes that Nazmi's decision is a backward step as far as his career is concerned.

"I do not think this is a good move for his career," Safee told Astro Awani.

"He is a very talented player with a bright future. When you get opportunities like this, its only fair if you make full use of them.

"Coming back after just six months, this is definitely a backward step as far as his career is concerned."

Rumours are suggesting that there could have been a third party involved in the whole fiasco and lots of gossip surround his return. However Safee has advised Nazmi to stay away from controversies and focus on his career instead.

"I hope he stays away from all the unnecessary controversies to only focus on his career," Safee concluded.
