KAFA president believes stiff competition amongst teams is healthy for local football

Tan Sri Annuar Musa believes it is going to be a tough year for Kelantan, but is optimistic about their chances of retaining all the titles that they won
Tan Sri Annuar Musa, President of the Kelantan Football Association, has admitted that the 2013 season will be tough. However, he is optimistic that last season's treble winners can retain their titles despite the stiff competition from other teams.

He also believes they can still become champions again even though they have lost a few of their key players.

Speaking at the The Red Warriors' new jersey and official merchandise launching ceremony, he said "losing three main players like Norshahrul Idlan Tahala, Nurul Azuan Roya and Mohammad Ghaddar, who all chose to switch to new teams, has affected us a little because it all happened at the end of the season and the KAFA had little time to replace them."

"I expect we will compete against a few teams such as Perak, Selangor, Terengganu, Johor Darul Takzim and ATM because they have also had a good preparation for the upcoming season," he added.

According to Astro Arena, Annuar sees the competitions from other teams as healthy believing it can bring benefits to the local football scene. It will also help Kelantan to be better and to step up a gear for next season.

At the ceremony, KAFA introduced 10 official sponsors for this season which are Hotlink Prepaid Maxis, Azizan Osman.com, Sinar Harian, Tresenergy, Muda Osman, Mamee, Desa Murni Batik, Pure're Spritz, Redbull and Keropok Sira Cap Nara Pasir Puteh.
