Johor have completed the loan signing of former Spanish internantional striker, Daniel Gonzelez Guiza from La Liga side Getafe.
Guiza, who was part of the Euro 2008 winning Spanish squad, arrived in Malaysia on Sunday and put pen to paper on a one-year loan arrangement with the Malaysian Super League (MSL) side yesterday.
According to the 32-year-old forward, he decided to seek pastures new after failing to start any games for parent club Getafe in the Spanish Primera Liga this season, and rejected offers from the likes of Real Zaragoza and Malaga to come to Malaysia.
The Cadiz native has 6 goals from 21 appearances for world champions Spain, and scored two goals for the Iberian giants in helping them win Euro 2008.
He will now fly back to Spain and re-join his new team-mates for pre-season training after Christmas.
