The high-flying Malaysia Super League (MSL) leaders, Terengganu are reported to be keen on a move for former Nigerian international striker Stephen Makinwa. The team's hierarchy are believed to have lost patience in their misfiring forwards, Marcio Souza and Mamadou Barry.

Makinwa was once a highly regarded youth prospect in the Serie A appearing for Palermo and Lazio. According to Berita Harian, the 30-year-old striker is expected to make his debut for the Turtles as early as on the East Coast derby against Kelantan this Saturday.

Selangor favorite Elie Aiboy and former PKNS FC forward Roman Chmelo have been given trials by Perak, according to New Straits Times. Head coach, Abu Bakar Fadzim told the news agency that they are in dire need of a clinical finisher and hoped to clinch a new signing by the end of this week to salvage their poor season. Bosnian striker Zelimir Terkes has been released after failing to find the net in six appearances.
Perak now lie bottom of the league with eight points from nine games.
