The Goal.com team picks the best XI from the latest round of S.League matches
S.League Team of the Week

Formation: 3-4-3

Goalkeeper - Wardun Yussof (Brunei DPMM)

Wardun has been the unsung hero for DPMM so far and once again he was outstanding in the team's 3-0 win over Gombak United.

The custodian was alert throughout the game, making a few important saves and his double saves from Obadin Aikhena during successive corners was stunning.

Defender - Benoit Croissant (Tampines Rovers)

It was never easy going against the free-scoring attackers from Home United who have racked up 17 goals in six matches but Benoit was simply imperious at the back.

The French defender kept the likes of Qiu Li and Indra Sahdan in check throughout the match and rarely look troubled by them.

Defender - Hafiz Osman (Tanjong Pagar United)

The defender scored the only goal of the game, when the Jaguars finally got their first win of the season against Geylang United.

Hafiz was solid at the back and made a few important blocks from the Eagles' attackers. Upfront, he was impressive as he kept his composure when slamming the ball past Geylang custodian Yazid Yasin.

Defender - Sirina Camara (Courts Young Lions)

The defender was superb in the game aganist Balestier Khalsa, as the Cubs managed to hold the visitors to a 1-1 draw.

He performed well and dealt with the threats of Park Kang Jin and co. with much ease. If he can keep up his performance, the twenty-year-old would have a bright future infront of him.

Midfield - Wan Zack Haikal (Harimau Muda)

With a new hairstyle (now shaved), the Old Wan Zack was back in the Young Tiger's match against SAFFC, after a poor performance last week.

The speed demon tormented SAF defender Bah Mamadou and Zulfadli Zainal throughout the match and other than scoring the first goal, he also kept his composure well to set up the match-winner for his team with minutes left.

Midfield - Muhd Nur Naiim (Gombak United)

The nineteen-year-old midfielder was majestic in the game against Brunei DPMM and he definitely has a bright future infront of him.

Facing the likes of Ivan Jerkovic, Naiim kept his cool and even bossed around the midfield in some parts of the game. Also, the young midfielder broke forward and helped his teammates but it was a pity that he was on the losing side.

Midfield - Tatsuro Inui (SAFFC)

The Japanese midfielder continued to shine for the Warriors who have been under-performing this season.

Inui was a constant threat with his set-pieces and runs down the left flank against Harimau Muda. It was a pity that he was on the losing side of the night but if he keeps his performance up, he could be the next star of SAF.

Midfield - Ante Barac (Hougang United)

Although the Bobby Charlton look-alike midfielder did not get a goal, he was the star in his side's 3-1 win over Woodlands Wellington.

The midfield mastero dominated the centre of the park and created numerous chances for his teammates through set-pieces. Barac was also unlucky as one of his free-kicks rebounded off the post.

Midfield - Davor Piskor (Tampines Rovers)

Davor Piskor finally shone for the Stags when he masterminded the 2-0 win for his team over unbeaten Home United with two beautiful assists.

After a string of rather forgettable performances, the Croatian was finally back to his best. The new Home United nemesis also starred when his side beat the protectors with the same scoreline in the Charity Shield.

Striker - Aleksandar Duric (Tampines Rovers)

You really have to give it to the fourty-two-year old captain of Tampines Rovers who put in a stellar performance against Home United.

Other than scoring the team's first goal, Duric's presence upfront was a constant threat as he dominated Home defenders Shi Jia Yi and Kenji Arai.

Striker - Amy Recha (Geylang United)

Although Amy was a second half substitute for the Eagles in their match agaist Tanjong Pagar, the young striker was simply magnificent and he also proved to be the spark that Geylang needed.

He was unlucky not to score the equaliser for Geylang as some brave defending from the Jaguars denied him but based on his performance in that game, he could definitely be a star in the future.
