MSL Big Bet Preview: Bojan looks to banish Ipoh 'demons'; Selangor set to conquer 'Klang Valley' derby

Kelantan will be off to Ipoh as they look to stop their losing rot while Selangor will have the upper advantage against Kuala Lumpur as Irfan Banti's side looks to thrash them

Selangor FA
Kuala Lumpur FA

Selangor, who lost their last game against Kedah in controversial circumstances, will look to bounce back from their defeat. Irfan Bakti, whose team have yet to set the league alight, will need to find the right recipe to blend his players.

Facing Kuala Lumpur, Irfan should have the right ingredients to inflict defeat on Razip Ismail's side. Facing Bosko Balaban, the main man leading the hosts' attack, Kuala Lumpur's defence led by Ahmad Dashilla Tajuddin will be in for a tough evening. Kuala Lumpur are expected to wilt under the pressure, as they have looked distinctly below par in the league this year.

Negeri Sembilan FA
Kedah FA

Wan Jamak Wan Hassan will be relishing this tie as it brings him back to face his former team, Negeri Sembilan. Kedah, who are beginning to assert themselves in the league are currently in a buoyant mood after defeating major rivals, Selangor.

However, facing the 'Hoben Jang Hoben' crowd will definitely be added pressure for the young Kedah side. Azraai Khor Abdullah, who was the catalyst for Kedah's success in 2007 and 2008 will want his side to bounce back after their disappointing defeat against Kelantan. Effa Owona, who had a blistering start seems to have lost some of his swagger but he is expected to bounce back and get the home crowd cheering again as Negeri Sembilan have home advantage in this tie.

Perak FA
  Kelantan FA

Bojan Jodak's side have got off to a great start after beating Negeri Sembilan in Kelantan. However, Kelantan seem to be weary on their travels especially in Ipoh. Last season thrashing at the Ipoh Stadium is still fresh in the minds of the Red Warriors as the home crowd were feasted with a brilliant display by the Perak side.

This time a much improved side, Perak will still be looking to inflinct defeat on the table toppers. Norizan Bakar will rely on Akmal Rizal Rakhli and K. Nanthakumar for this tie as they were phenomenal when they played against Kelantan last season. Michal Kubala and Shahrulnizam Mustapha will look to anhilate the presence of Syakir Shaari and Badri Radzi as the winner of the midfield battle, will  probably nail this tie for their side.

Sarawak FA
Lions XII

Lions XII are on a roll as they have recorded consecutive wins in the Super League. Spearheaded by in-form playmaker, Shahril Ishak, things are looking promising for the debutants. However, travelling to  Borneo would be a tricky task for the young Singaporean side as they will be facing an enterprising Sarawak squad.

Under the tutelage of Robert Alberts, the Crocodiles have been impressive but they have been inconsistent as they tend to fade in the latter stages of a game. Vedran Muratovic and Guy Bwelle have endeared themselves well with the fans as their performances have set the league alight. However, facing a team that has proven international pedigree, Sarawak will have a tough time and will look for a draw at best, to halt the progress of Lions XII.

Terengganu FA
Sabah FA

Mat Zan Mat Aris's side have been a revelation as they have notched three consecutive wins. Beating Perak and Song Lam Nghe An in their last two games, the team has looked impressive and they are the favourites to bag the Super League title. Backed by experienced players like Marzuki Yusof and Ismail Faruqi, the team has what it takes to beat the Borneo side.

Justin Ganai, is currently having a tough time in the league as they are going through a 'yo-yo' season. Australians Brandan Gan and Michael Baird have not helped much either, with the likes of Sharudin Yaakop bearing the burden of the side. Sabah will want to win but with Terengganu on form, things look bleak for the Rhinos.

Felda United FC
  Selangor PKNS

In the battle of 2 Klang Valley club sides, both teams are struggling to stamp their authority in the league. Felda who were impressive last season have been a pale shadow of themselves as they have been losing many games on the trot.

Even with likes of Yuong Kong Yong, Nazri Ahmad and Ahmad Fakhri Shaarani, E.Elavarasan's side have been poor and look likely to be relegated if they continue their absymal performance. PKNS on the other hand, have carved out many draws as Abdul Rahman Ibrahim's side are sorely missing the presence of Dawood Nicoise. PKNS look likely to beat Felda as they look much more confident and composed than the 'Settlers'.

Johor FC
T Team Terengganu FC

Home crowd on their side and Arturo Berndhart on form, Johor FC is on a roll! After ousting Selangor from the FA Cup, K.Devan's side have looked confident. A much changed squad, the team is beginning to gel as their Brazilian players have been phenomenal so far.

Arturo and Fernando Abreu have been pivotal towards the team's success. T Team had a scare in their last outing as they were nearly beaten by Premier League side, Pahang in the FA Cup. Yunos Alif, who has been with the team for the past 2 years will want to nail this tie and keep the team in the top half of the table. However, with Arturo on form, T Team will have a tough time handling Johor
