Terengganu on Tuesday announced that it has agreed to a mutual contract termination with centreback Amiridzwan Taj Tajuddin, almost six months after the defender signed with them, and one day after his 30th birthday.
Amiridzwan was among the trio of local stars signed by the Turtles at the end of the 2015 season, but failed to make any appearance in a competitive match due to a long-term injury suffered after the signing.
The East Coast club also added that head coach Mike Mulvey will likely find Amiridzwan's replacement during the June transfer window, which opens on June 1.
The former UiTM, ATM and Kelantan player has always grappled with long-term injuries, which kept him from securing a place in the Malaysia national team, despite showing promise in the few times he was called up.
He has also been embroiled in an ongoing pay dispute with Kelantan, which owed him unpaid wages from when he was playing for them in 2015, along with four other former Kelantan players.
