Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Real Madrid are next in action on Sunday in the Madrid derby on the road to Atletico Madrid. RB Leipzig face Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday in the Bundesliga on the road.
Real Madrid continue their 100 per cent record to start the season with a 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig in their Champions League clash. Los Blancos were forced to wait until the 80th minute to break the deadlock when Federico Valverde held his composure to bend a left-footed strike home. Marco Asensio came off the bench to secure the points with a stunning strike after collecting Toni Kroos' cutback. Leipzig had their moments, but lacked a clinical edge in the final third and were duly punished by the holders.

80' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! VALVERDE PRODUCES A SUBLIME FINISH!!!! 1-0 MADRID!!!!! Los Blancos break the deadlock with a fine team move that Valverde finishes with a crisp strike on his left foot. Vinicius picks out the run of Valverde with a cross-field pass on the right flank. He cuts inside to open up space for a curling effort that finds the bottom-left corner.
78' BLOCK! The game is opening up as Raum collects from Forsberg and fires at goal. His effort is blocked by Asensio before Carvajal deflects his attempted cross behind for a corner.
76' Madrid have space down the left flank for Rodrygo to break, but his offload towards Tchouameni is broken up by Forsberg tracking back.
75' Werner raids with pace at the Madrid backline and tries to break into the box, only to be halted by a fine challenge from Rudiger.

A. Haidara
Yellow Card
RB Leipzig
73' Haidara brings down Rodrgo in the final third and goes into the book.
72' CHANCE! Vinicius has to score from close range, but he sees his weak effort saved by Gulacsi. Valverde starts the move with a break from the back and feeds Rodrygo. The Brazilian sends a cutback towards Valverde, who takes a touch in front of goal. Vinicius then takes it away from the midfielder and guides a strike towards goal that is saved. Asensio pounces on the rebound, only to lift his effort over the top.
71' RB Leipzig have never had a goalless draw in the UEFA Champions League, with their 31 games in the competition without one being the most of any side in the competition (W14 D4 L13). This could well change tonight.
69' Rodrygo tries to release the run of Vinicius, but the Brazilian moves a fraction too soon and is caught offside.
68' Valverde collects from Alaba and sends a dangerous low cross into the box that evades Rodrygo and is cleared by Diallo.
66' Haidara takes a knock in a challenge for the ball with Alaba and requires treatment on the field.
Marco Asensio
E. Camavinga
Real Madrid
64' Asensio replaces Camavinga in the Madrid midfield.
62' OVER! Rodrygo takes the resulting free-kick, but he will want this effort back as he launches his right-footed strike well over the bar.
61' Rodrygo cuts in from the left flank with menace and is pulled back by Simakan. The referee spots the foul and awards Madrid a free-kick in a dangerous position on the edge of the box.
58' Szoboszlai takes the free-kick and angles a cross deep to the back post that travels safely out of play for a goal-kick. Not the best delivery there.
57' Carvajal brings down Nkunku on the left flank, handing Leipzig a free-kick in a useful position.
56' Alaba catches Szoboszlai late and gives away a free-kick. Rodrygo is slow to give the ball to Simakan, causing a little melee that the referee has to bring under control.
54' There's no way through for either side at the moment. Rose will certainly be the happier of the two managers so far.
52' Vinicius tries to combine with Rodrygo in the final third, but the latter is denied by a fine challenge from Orban before he can pull the trigger.
50' OFFSIDE! Nkunku turns the ball around the corner for Werner's run and he fires at goal from a tight angle, forcing a fine stop from Courtois. It is moot anyway as Werner is flagged offside, but the threat remains from Leipzig on the break.
49' Madrid are trying to get on the front foot with crosses into the box, but both Carvajal and then Rodrygo from a corner can only hit Gulacsi's gloves.
48' Alaba and Vinicius go for the give and go, but the ball just evades the run of the Brazilian and out for a goal-kick.
46' We're back under way at the Bernabeu.
Carlo Ancelotti will be slightly concerned with his side's performance. They've looked vulnerable to the counter and have lacked the presence of Karim Benzema in the final third. The midfield has not been able to control the game and find penetration for Vinicius and Rodrygo, which may force a rethink at the break.
It's goalless at the break between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig in their Champions League clash. The visitors have looked the more threatening side in front of goal as Christopher Nkunku was denied twice by Thibaut Courtois, while he then just missed a Timo Werner cutback in front of an empty net. Madrid have been fairly toothless in the final third outside of one effort from Luka Modric that drifted wide of the target.
45' HALF-TIME: REAL MADRID 0-0 RB LEIPZIG
43' Modric goes down under pressure from Schlager in the box and appeals for a penalty. The referee is not interested and the home fans are not happy with the decision.
41' WIDE! Modric makes a neat turn on the edge of the box to open up space for a left-footed strike at goal. He connects well with his effort that drifts inches wide of the target.
40' Vinicius wins a free-kick down the left flank that Modric whips into the box. Alaba rises to glance a header towards goal that drifts harmlessly wide of the right post.
38' CHANCE! Vinicius lifts a cross into the box from the left flank after Leipzig clear a corner, but Rudiger can only nod his effort wide of the target when well placed in the middle.
37' Valverde runs at the Leipzig defence down the right flank, but Raum is there to block his cross behind for a corner. There is a little bit of afters between the two players that the referee has to bring under control.
34' CLOSE! Leipzig open up the Madrid defence with a sublime move as Forsberg releases Werner in the inside-left channel. He places a dangerous low ball across the face of goal that travels agonisingly past the outstretched boot of Nkunku.
33' Madrid have not been able to sustain a period of pressure on the Leipzig defence. Without Benzema they've lacked a focal point in the final third.
31' Rodrygo tries the direct route with a run into the box, but Orban makes a fine challenge to knock the ball away from the Brazilian.
30' SAVE! Werner twists and turns in the final third to open up space for a strike on his left foot, but Courtois gets down to make a comfortable stop.
28' CHANCE! Werner lifts a ball over the top for Nkunku to chase in the Madrid box. He has to stretch to poke his effort at goal, but Courtois spreads himself to make the stop and the ball rebounds off the forward to travel behind for a goal-kick.
27' Werner works a one-two with Raum down the left flank to open up space for a strike, but he sees his effort repelled by Carvajal.
26' OVER! Vinicius sends a cross-field pass to Alaba, who feeds a first-time cross into the box. Camavinga meets it with a left-footed strike, only to turn his effort over the bar.
23' There has been space for Leipzig to attack on the break, which will be a concern for Ancelotti. Madrid need to up their intensity in possession.
21' WIDE! Leipzig find space in behind the Madrid defence through Werner as he raids down the left flank. He cuts a low ball back to Forsberg, who steers his strike wide of the right post.
19' Vinicius tries to probe down the left flank, but he loses out to a good challenge from Simakan.
17' Madrid have not been able to find their rhythm in the early stages of the game. Modric along with Tchouameni and Camavinga have not been able to find holes in the Leipzig rearguard.
15' WIDE! Modric sends Rodrygo into the box in the inside-right channel where he turns past Raum, only to fire a tame strike wide of the target.
13' Forsberg tries to break past Rudiger down the right flank and gets fouled by the German. Leipzig are just edging the 50/50 challenges at the moment.
11' PENALTY SHOUT! Nkunku goes down in the Madrid box under pressure from Nacho as he attempts to turn past the defender, but the referee dismisses his appeal for a penalty.
10' Modric finds space down the right flank and has options in the box, only to scuff his attempted cross into the middle.
8' Leipzig have settled into their shape and have the pace on the break to trouble Los Blancos. The home side are going to have to be careful in possession.
6' OVER! The resulting corner deflects as far as Haidara on the edge of the box. He lines up a blast that strikes the leg of Alaba before travelling over the bar.
5' SAVE! Leipzig break on the counter as Forsberg releases Nkunku through on goal. The forward goes for a low blast on his right foot that Courtois has to turn past the left post.
3' Valverde goes down under pressure from Raum down the right flank, but the referee points for a throw-in only, much to the frustration of the Madrid midfielder.
2' Carvajal plays a loose ball out from the back that Haidara has the chance to intercept, but he takes a poor first touch that travels out for a goal-kick.
1' We're under way at the Bernabeu.
