Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Madrid leapfrog Barcelona back into second, just two points off the leaders Atletico with two games remaining. Next up for them is a trip to Athletic Bilbao. Granada stay in 10th, having now lost their last three on the bounce and Martinez will be hoping they can turn things around against Alaves at the weekend.
Madrid's unbeaten run in LaLiga goes on with a 4-1 win over Granada. They took a 2-0 lead into half-time, with Modric catching out Silva at his near post before Rodrygo added a second just before the break. Molina pulled one back after he volleyed in following a Courtois save but two goals in two minutes rounded things off for the visitors. Odriozola fired his shot over Silva before Benzema capitalised on the keeper's mistake and added a fourth from long range.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: GRANADA 1-4 REAL MADRID.
90' + 3' SAVE! Suarez wins the ball back after a heavy touch from Isco and he gets his head down to run into Madrid's box. He tries to lift his shot over Courtois, who rushed off his line, but the keeper makes himself big to smother it.
90' + 1' Suarez nods it down for Marin on the edge of the box and he has a go from range. His shot takes a big deflection off Casemiro and loops up for Suarez. He lets it drop before hitting it on the volley, but it flies high over the bar.
89' Madrid are still patiently trying to break down Granada and Gutierrez almost gets Isco in behind with a great throughball. His first touch is heavy though and Duarte gets across quickly to nick it back.
87' Granada are starting to get on the ball more now, but their passing is still sloppy when they get higher up the field. Quina tries to switch play out to Quini on the left but it's too far behind him and Madrid have a throw-in.
85' GREAT SAVE! Soro drives into the box and lays it off to Molina in the middle, but he can't get his feet sorted out in time. Nacho pokes it away, but only as far as Quina, who curls a great shot on goal and Courtois pushes it away.
83' Granada look tired now and they're dropping deeper as Madrid keep hold of the ball. The visitors aren't in any hurry to move it into the box though and are happy to knock it around in midfield.

81' Granada are making their last change as Sanchez makes way for Perez.
80' Granada are caught out at the back again as Modric plays a deep cross into Asensio on the right of the box. He volleys it back across the area and Silva is scrambling across his line, but it bounces onto the roof of the net.
78' VAR is just having a look at Benzema's goal to see if there was a handball by Casemiro in the build-up. His first touch bounced up, but it hit him on his side and the goal stands.

69' It's patient play from Madrid again now and they're happy to keep possession in front of Granada as they try to draw the hosts out of their shape and open up some space in behind.

46' Madrid get us back underway for the second half!
Zidane will be pleased with his side's performance so far and they've been clinical with their chances, so he'll want more of the same after the break. Granada haven't tested Courtois at the other end and they could benefit from making a change soon as they've looked out of ideas at times.
Madrid take a 2-0 lead over Granada into half-time thanks to goals from Modric and Rodrygo. The visitors dominated the game from the start, with Silva making an early save to deny Benzema. Gutierrez then chipped the ball through to Modric who drilled his shot into the far bottom corner. 38' Militao crashes into the side of Veco as he tries to win the ball back which earns him the first booking of the game.
37' Granada's high press is causing Madrid a few problems at the back as Militao is backed into a corner by Machis. He's still trying to play out from the back and tries to chip it into Park, but puts it straight out of play.
35' Gutierrez (19 years and 290 days) is the second youngest Madrid player to provide an assist on his debut in LaLiga in the last decade, after Brahim Diaz against Huesca in March 2019 (19 years and 240 days).
33' Vico turns and drills a shot on goal which is blocked by Nacho and he sets Madrid off on the counter. Valverde cuts inside from the right before squaring it to Benzema at the far post, but he slices at his shot and it flies well wide of the near post.
31' Granada are moving the ball quicker now but their passing in the final third is still letting them down. Quini pushes forward down the left again and tries to square it to Molina on the edge of the box, but can only pick out Militao.
29' Quini makes a great driving run down the left wing before laying it off to Machis ahead of him. He spots Molina peeling off the back of Nacho on the far side so tries to switch play out to him, but overhits it straight out for a goal-kick.
27' PARK! Valverde plays a brilliant low throughball into the box for Park to run onto and he gets his head up to check his options. He's the furthest forward for Madrid so has to go it alone and he ends up dragging his shot well wide of the far post.
25' Park has stayed down after he was accidentally caught on the back of his leg by Machis, who was chasing him down to win the ball. He slowly gets back to his feet without needing any treatment though.

16' Madrid are moving up the field much quicker now and Gutierrez gets forward to play a good cross into Rodrygo. He tries to flick it past Foulquier, but the defender reads it well and hooks the ball clear.
14' GOOD SAVE! Rodrygo floats a lovely cross into the far post from the right and although Eteki gets a flick on it, it still comes to Benzema. He sends his header back across goal and Silva gets a strong hand to it to push it away from goal.
13' Granada work it well down the left and Machis pulls it back for Veco, who does well to get it to Molina under pressure from Casemiro. He pokes it through towards Puertas, but Militao is there to intercept it.
11' Madrid have won each of their last 11 meetings with Granada in LaLiga, scoring a total of 36 goals - their best current winning streak against an opponent in the competition.
9' Vinicius sees a shot blocked in the middle of the box, but Modric is there to latch onto the rebound. He squares it to Rodrygo who sets himself for the shot, but he's off-balance as he hits it and ends up firing it well wide of the far post.
8' Granada are struggling to get out of their own half when they do win the ball back and they just can't find a way through Madrid. It's slow from the hosts as Duarte spot a team-mate and is forced to play it back to the goalkeeper.
6' Granada are trying to get on the ball by pressing Madrid high up the field, but the visitors aren't giving up possession. They work it forward to Vinicius down the right again, but a sloppy pass from him gifts it to Quini.
4' Madrid are seeing a lot of the ball early on here and Gutierrez plays a brilliant ball over the top to try and pick out Vinicius' run down the right. His cross is blocked and Silva is alert when the corner is swung into the box as he punches it away.
2' Valverde touches the ball into Rodrygo in the middle and he starts his run towards the box, playing a one-two with Modric to pull away from Gonalons. He's forced wide with the return pass though but wins a corner when his cross is blocked by Sanchez.

After Atletico Madrid's win yesterday, Madrid know they need to match that today to keep up the pressure in the title race. They're unbeaten in their last 15 LaLiga games (W10 D5), a run that goes back to the start of February, but they've drawn three of their previous five. They face a Granada side that have lost their last two outings, but before that, Diego Martinez's side came out on top against Barcelona with a 2-1 victory.
