Liverpool can look forward to hosting Napoli next, then, while Ajax travel to Rangers to decide who'll drop into the Europa League. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Liverpool will finish at least second in Group A, then, and will take on Napoli at Anfield next week to decide who finishes top. They've ended up breezing to qualification after winning their last four group games in a row. Ajax can finish no higher than third now. Had they got a goal in the first half, this match could have been a different story.
Liverpool have secured their place in the Champions League last 16 for the sixth season running! They've made light work of Ajax in the end after navigating a tricky start in which the hosts created a few big chances. They didn't take them though, and Salah gave the Reds the lead. Nunez and Elliott wrapped the win up early in the second half.
90' + 1' Pasveer pushes the corner away. Van Dijk stays forward and elects to cross when he's entitled to shoot. It's the wrong decision, and Ajax intercept.
90' Three more minutes of this to go. Jones earns Liverpool a corner down their right.
89' Liverpool go hunting for one last goal. Firmino and Carvalho combine in Ajax's box, but the hosts manage to smuggle the ball away.
K. Tsimikas
A. Robertson
87' Liverpool substitution. Tsimikas gets a late run-out at left-back. Robertson goes off.
F. Grillitsch
E. Álvarez
86' Alvarez heads off too. On comes Grillitsch for Ajax.
Francisco Conceição
S. Berghuis
86' Ajax make their last few changes. Berghuis goes off. This game could have been very different had he scored early on. Conceicao replaces him.
85' Ajax create their best chance in a while. Alvarez heads wide from Sanchez's cross before Timber weaves through Liverpool's defence and drags the ball wide of the left-hand post.
83' Ajax keep on getting into the final third without really creating anything. Alexander-Arnold punts upfield.
81' Gomez hands Ajax a corner to give them a bit of hope. It's quickly snuffed out as Liverpool deal with it easily.
79' Ajax are still looking to put Liverpool under pressure, but the Reds are soaking it up. Bajcetic unfairly stops Kudus in his own half.
77' Bergwijn latches onto a fantastic crossfield pass only to drift inside and lose possession. That sums up Ajax's match.
75' Liverpool pop the ball around without a care in the world after Bajcetic has a long-range effort comfortably saved. Robertson eventually crosses harmlessly out of play.
73' Ajax are trying their best to inject some urgency back into this match. Berghuis fires over from outside the box.
Stefan Bajčetić
71' Liverpool's defensive-minded 18-year-old Bajcetic replaces Fabinho.
J. Milner
J. Henderson
71' Liverpool decide to take no risks with Henderson, given the game is won. Milner's on for him.
Fábio Carvalho
H. Elliott
71' Liverpool make three changes, starting by replacing one youngster with another. Carvalho comes on for Elliott.
69' Klopp's unhappy after a clash of knees between Alvarez and Henderson leaves the Liverpool captain needing treatment. No foul's given.
67' Great chance for Taylor! The substitute leans back as he hits Sanchez's low cutback from the right and blazes way over the crossbar. He should have done better.
65' Bergwijn takes on Alexander-Arnold and shifts the ball onto his right foot to fire high and wide. Up the other end, Salah scoops over from range.
C. Jones
D. Núñez
63' One of Liverpool's goalscorers Nunez gets an early rest. Jones is his replacement.
K. Taylor
B. Brobbey
63' Brobbey goes off after a fruitless shift up front for Ajax. Taylor replaces him.
62' Berghuis has a cross from the left blocked. Both teams are preparing substitutions.
60' Liverpool are understandably taking their time at the back again. Ajax already know they're a beaten team.
O. Wijndal
D. Blind
58' Blind makes way too. On comes Wijndal for Ajax.
M. Kudus
D. Klaassen
58' Ajax send on a few players to chase what looks to be a lost cause. Kudus replaces Klaassen first.
57' Liverpool get a corner out of Bassey, who nearly accidentally handles the ball. Alexander-Arnold's delivery is cleared and sent back in by Robertson. Van Dijk heads over.
55' Elliott has become the first teenager to score in consecutive Champions League appearances for Liverpool. The future's bright for the 19-year-old.
53' Robertson gives Ajax the small joy of a corner. Liverpool are in no mood to let them achieve anything with it though.
H. Elliott
52' GOAL! AJAX 0-3 LIVERPOOL! Game over. Salah sends Elliott running through on goal, and the young midfielder fires past Pasveer into the top right corner.
Mohamed Salah
52' Salah telegraphed where he wanted Elliott to run with that pass, and the Englishman did just that. Ajax have capitulated again and must be fearing another big defeat.
A. Robertson
49' Robertson had a big part to play in creating that goal with both his cross and the corner. Liverpool could ease further ahead now.
D. Núñez
49' GOAL! AJAX 0-2 LIVERPOOL! It's a simple one. Pasveer pushes Robertson's cross out for a corner which the Scot takes. Nunez gets across his man to power in the header. Ajax look down and out.
48' Alexander-Arnold's cross from the right cause Ajax some problems in their box. Berghuis clears. How they must hope he'd scored early on.
46' Ajax get the second half going. No changes at half-time.
Salah's goal means that he's scored in four straight appearances in the Champions League for just the second time, previously doing so in April 2021. The Egyptian popped up at just the right time to score his sixth goal of the campaign for Liverpool, who were lucky not to be a goal or two down before that. Ajax looked shaken just before the break, but they've shown they can still mount a comeback.
Liverpool are 45 minutes away from making it into the knockout phase. Ajax started this game the stronger side, but Klopp's men suddenly flicked the switch to take the lead through a Salah strike on the stroke of half-time. It's been an entertaining affair so far, with both teams hitting the woodwork. More to come!
45' + 1' Liverpool win a corner down their right which comes to nothing at first. They send the ball back into the danger area and Van Dijk heads off-target. That's it for now.
45' There'll be one minute of added time before half-time. Ajax need it. They suddenly look low on confidence.
44' Robertson gets the wrong side of Berghuis and rolls a pass across to Firmino. The Brazilian squares the ball for Nunez who somehow hits the post from close range! Liverpool should be 2-0 up.
J. Henderson
42' That was an instinctive pass by Henderson to find Salah there, and a lovely one it was too. Liverpool have scored with their first shot on target!
Mohamed Salah
42' GOAL! AJAX 0-1 LIVERPOOL! The Dutch champions give the ball away in their own half and the visitors capitalise! Henderson plays a precision pass into the path of Salah who pokes it past the onrushing Pasveer at the first time of asking.
41' Elliott has a hopeful pop at goal from distance. It looks fairly innocuous, but Pasveer dives low at his left-hand post to catch it and make sure.
40' Alexander-Arnold makes a run into Ajax's box and is completely unmarked. Gomez attempts to find him but his delivery isn't good enough.
38' Timber wins a free-kick in his own half as he's caught by Fabinho.
36' Liverpool survive again! Bergwijn's right-wing cross finds Tadic free in the box. Alisson and Alexander-Arnold combine to make sure that the Serbian's shot doesn't find the back of the net. The visitors are living dangerously.
34' Alexander-Arnold's hopeful swipe at the ball is cleared by Bassey. Robertson ghosts onto Firmino's pass to lash into the side netting.
32' Henderson gets down the left to cross into the box. All of his team-mates attack the near post, but the ball lands further inside. Ajax clear.
31' Bergwijn isn't happy as he's on the receiving end of a Robertson tackle. The referee sees nothing wrong with it, but does blow his whistle as Gomez hauls Brobbey down.
29' Robertson's early ball to Salah is hit by the Egyptian on the volley. Ajax get a body in the way. Alexander-Arnold's follow-up cross is caught by Pasveer.
27' Liverpool are on the prowl on the edge of the box until Berghuis nips in and gets tripped by Firmino. Ajax free-kick.
26' Robertson's uncharacteristically poor first touch hands Ajax an easy throw-in. The hosts can't keep the ball from it though, and Elliott isn't too far from picking out Salah.
24' Blind tries to send Tadic in behind Alexander-Arnold. The Ajax captain keeps possession until Alvarez loses it with an ill-judged crossfield pass that goes out of play.
22' Ajax get a corner down their right off Van Dijk. They take it short, and it's floated safely into the hands of Alisson.
21' Pasveer reaches a searching ball over the top before Nunez does. Liverpool have yet to find their rhythm.
19' Liverpool are playing a 4-3-1-2 which is forcing Nunez wider than he would like. The Uruguayan hasn't really gotten into the game so far.
17' Sanchez smashes the ball at Alisson from just outside the D. The Liverpool goalkeeper is well-placed to catch it. It's all Ajax at the moment.
16' Ajax work the ball quickly down their right, and Alisson just beats Tadic to the cross. Berghuis goes for goal from distance, and isn't too far from finding the bottom-left corner.
15' Ajax earn a free-kick down their right as Henderson handles the ball. It's whipped in by Berghuis. Robertson hooks it away.
13' The ball's eventually sent forward, and Sanchez passes it easily back to Pasveer. Tadic goes up against Gomez down Ajax's left and comes off the worse.
11' Liverpool are starting to get settled on the ball. The Ajax fans whistle and jeer as they pass it amongst themselves at the back.
9' Salah plays a nice one-two with Elliott to scamper down the right. The Egyptian's eventual cross is too close to Pasveer.
7' Blind's shot from the left of the box is blocked, and Alvarez nods comfortably wide as he gets on the end of Tadic's far-post cross. Ajax are pressing Liverpool high up the pitch and are wasting no time in putting their visitors under pressure.
5' Liverpool head upfield, and Nunez gets caught offside as he goes for Salah's throughball. Ajax look full of belief though.
3' A huge early chance for Ajax! Berghuis skips onto Brobbey's layoff in the box and looks to slot past Alisson into the bottom-right corner of the net. The midfielder places his shot but can only hit the outside of the right-hand post! Liverpool breathe a big sigh of relief.
1' Liverpool get this game underway! There's a great atmosphere here in Amsterdam.
Liverpool should be confident of securing their place in the last 16 here. Ajax have lost their three Champions League games against the Reds, who are unbeaten in their last seven away games against Dutch sides. Alfred Schreuder's men will be well up for this game though. If they can go ahead first, who knows what could happen?
Ajax are unchanged from their last league outing, a 4-1 away win against RKC Waalwijk. They start with three different players from their 2-1 defeat at Anfield in September.
There are three changes to Liverpool from their 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest last time out. Nunez, Alexander-Arnold and Henderson replace Carvalho, Milner and Jones in the starting line-up.
SUBS: Adrian, Calvin Ramsey, Stefan Bajcetic, Nathaniel Phillips, Caoimhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones, Konstantinos Tsimikas, James Milner, Fabio Carvalho.
LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson (c), Fabinho, Harvey Elliott; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Darwin Nunez.
SUBS: Mohammed Kudus, Francisco Conceicao, Devyne Rensch, Lisandro Magallan, Lorenzo Lucca, Jay Gorter, Lucas Ocampos, Florian Grillitsch, Owen Wijndal, Kenneth Taylor, Maarten Stekelenburg.
AJAX (4-3-3): Remko Pasveer; Jorge Sanchez, Jurrien Timber, Daley Blind, Calvin Bassey; Davy Klaassen, Edson Alvarez, Steven Berghuis; Steven Bergwijn, Brian Brobbey, Dusan Tadic (c).
Ajax can still technically leapfrog Liverpool into the last 16 with a win here on home soil, but that would need to be by more than one goal if they don't want to rely on a big swing in goal difference. If the Dutch champions don't get three points here, the Europa League repechage will be the best they can hope for going into the final set of fixtures.
Liverpool's 7-1 thumping of Rangers a fortnight ago means the Reds go into their 150th Champions League game knowing that a draw or a win will see them progress to this season's knockout stage. It'd also mean they maintain their proud record of escaping their group in all six campaigns in this competition under Jurgen Klopp.
