Yanga unhappy with timing of Obrey Chirwa ban

The management of Young Africans Sports Club are unhappy with the timing of Tanzania's Football Federation's ban for their striker Obrey Chirwa. Yanga are unhappy that the ban to their player was unnecessarily delayed.

Yanga’s General Secretary, Boniface Mkwasa, told Goal that the move to ban Chirwa was frustrating because the player was in the team's plans for the game against Mwadui FC.

"We do not oppose Chirwa's ban, but we are complaining that the ban was delayed for over a month and a half” said Mkwasa.

The Secretary further said that they are going to implement the TFF order, but they are not pleased with the decision.

Chirwa was banned to play three matches with the TFF disciplinary committee, after he elbowed an opponent during a match against Tanzanian Prisons in November 2017.
