After making a host of signings in the last transfer window, Western Stima is aiming to challenge for the top positions.

The power men finished sixth last season but paid dearly as most of the key men decamped to other teams. Coach Henry Omino says he has been impressed by offensive player in Evans Kiwanuka who he feels will help the team a great deal.

"Most of the signings we made have not hit the top gear as I expected, they have taken time to adapt. But I am hopeful that by the time the league starts, maybe they will have improved.

"Kiwanuka has been impressive, he has been giving his best on the pitch, creating scoring opportunities and the good thing is that he never gives up. Well, he has impressed me in the several matches he has played," he told Goal.

Omino says he hopes to continue pushing the 'big' teams in the league and perform even better.
