This should be one of the most routine wins of the season for West Ham.

Macclesfield can't buy a win in League Two so coming up against Premier League opposition should be too much for them.

Lucas Perez may get a start and, with a point to prove, he could be among the goals in this one.

Manuel Pellegrini has won this competition in the past with Manchester City and he is keen for West Ham to get their hands on the cup.

“It is a very important competition – the first major trophy that can be won in the season – and the experience of winning at Wembley in front of your supporters is something that stays with you forever," Pellegrini told the club's official website .

“Our ambition is clear – to take the competition very seriously and progress as far as we possibly can. I know it is a trophy that West Ham United have not yet won in our history and, of course, we would like that to change, but first we must concentrate on showing the right approach against Macclesfield.”
