WATCH: Socceroos 'great preparation' for Brazil

Former Arsenal and Brazil midfielder Edu says his country's friendly against the Socceroos in June will be critical to the Selecao's World Cup preparations.

Brazil will play two matches in Melbourne in June, taking on Argentina and Australia at the MCG in the space of four days.

The Selecao became the first team to qualify for Russia 2018 this week after a 3-0 win over Paraguay and Edu believes playing teams from outside South America is important over the next 12 months if Brazil are to win their first World Cup since 2002.
