Ulinzi Stars have confirmed that they will host Egyptian side Smouha in Caf Confederation Cup’s return leg outside Nairobi.
The Soldiers hosted Libyan bigwigs Al Hilal Benghazi in the tournament’s preliminary stage at Kasarani Stadium and many fans were expecting the tie against Smouha to be staged at the same venue but head coach Benjamin Nyangweso has told Goal that the match will be played at Machakos Stadium.
“We have picked Machakos County Stadium for the match because Kasarani is closed for renovation while Afraha Stadium is also not in very good condition to stage such a match at the moment.”
He also asserted that his side has not given up in the competition stressing that they will play their hearts out in order to bounce back from their 4-0 away heartbreak.
“It was disappointing being defeated by four goals in our first meeting but we still want to advance to the next stage. We will fight for a massive victory at home.”
