Chelsea have the opportunity to cap off the season with a silverware if they beat cross-town rivals Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League final at the Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan on Thursday.

The Blues have already secured their place in the UEFA Champions League for next season with a third-place finish in the English Premier League and now will give their all to emerge victorious on the continental stage.

Maurizio Sarri's men were placed alongside BATE, Vidi and PAOK in the group stages and they picked up 16 points from six fixtures. They earned a hard-fought victory against PAOK in their campaign opener with Willian Borges scoring the only goal of the match. In their next match against Vidi at the Stamford Bridge it was Willian who once again was in the thick of things as he set up Alvaro Morata to score in the 70th minute of the match.

The South-West London side finally found their mojo on matchday three as they outmuscled BATE 3-1, courtesy of a hat-trick from Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The England international was in sublime form as he found the net within 100 seconds after the kickoff. He added two more to his name and the third one, a finish from outside the penalty box, was the best of the lot.

In Belarus, they faced stiff resistance from BATE but Olivier Giroud was at the right place at the right time to score the eventual winner after heading home a cross from Emerson.

In their next match, they thumped PAOK 4-0 and Giroud once again scored two on that night while Morata and Callum Hudson-Odoi bagged one each.

But Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Vidi in their last group stage match preventing Sarri from boasting of a 100 percent win record in the group stage.
