Tusker beat Sofapaka and AFC Leopards for Nzoia Sugar defender Hillary Wandera

Nzoia Sugar has lost Hillary Wandera to 11-time Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC.

The left full-back was a reportedly on the radar of both Sofapaka and AFC Leopards before Tusker moved quickly to snatch him. Nzoia Sugar chairman Yappets Mokua has confirmed to Goal about the exit of the player.

"Wandera has left, it is a fact. He has joined Tusker. They showed interest, we negotiated and reached an agreement. Wandera has been a good player to us. He has served us well and we wish him all the best in his new team.

"We will try and get his replacement to ensure there is a seamless transition."

Mustafa Oduor and Brian Otieno are the other players who left the sugar millers recently to link up with former coach Bernard Mwalala at Bandari.
