Man Utd close in on Fred deal

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils look set to beat Manchester City to the Brazilian's signature as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his midfield ahead of next season.

The deal is set to be completed ahead of the World Cup, with Fred set to travel to England next week for Brazil's friendly with Croatia at Anfield as well as put pen to paper on a contract at Old Trafford.

Napoli want David Luiz in Sarri deal

Napoli are willing to let Maurizio Sarri take over at Chelsea for free if they are able to get defender David Luiz in return, according to the Daily Telegraph.

As it stands the Blues would have to pay Sarri's £7 million ($9.4m) release clause if they wanted to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

But the Serie A outfit are willing to waive that if they are able to get David Luiz for a cut-price fee of around £15m ($20m).

Arsenal confirm Emery appointment

Arsenal have confirmed the appointment of Unai Emery as the club's new manager.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss has signed a two-year deal in north London to become Arsene Wenger's successor.

He becomes just the Gunners' second manager since 1996 following Wenger's 22-year tenure.

Madrid favourites for Lewandowski

Real Madrid are still the favourites to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, reports Evening Standard.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Poland international, who prefers to play in the Champions League next season.

With the Blues set for Europa League football in 2018-19, the 29-year-old striker is more likely to head to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ronaldo responds to Neymar reports

Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to the Neymar to Real Madrid transfer links, insisting that he is used to the club being linked to the world's top players.

The PSG star has been continually linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, despite only moving to the Parc des Princes from Barcelona last summer.

Ronaldo, though, isn't getting too excited about the prospect of a transfer just yet, saying: "I have been here eight years and they are always talking about 50 players that are going to come and in the end none come."

Ancelotti holds Napoli talks as Chelsea chase Sarri

Carlo Ancelotti has held talks with Napoli as Chelsea look to appoint the Partenopei's current manager, Maurizio Sarri.

Former Real Madrid manager Ancelotti is set to sign a two-year deal with the Serie A runners-up having met with Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Sarri, meanwhile, is the front-runner to replace Antonio Conte , who will still leave Stamford Bridge despite winning the FA Cup.

Juventus in talks to sign Perin

Juventus are in talks to sign Mattia Perin from Genoa and are willing to pay around €10 million (£8.8m/$11.75m) to sign the goalkeeper.

The Turin side are looking to sign another shot-stopper this summer after Gianluigi Buffon confirmed he will leave at the end of the season and is now expected to sign for Paris Saint-Germain. 

The Italian giants are hoping to lure the once-capped Perin to the Juventus Stadium by offering a five-year contract that will see him take home around €2.5m per season.

Manchester United will make a big push to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro this summer, reports the Daily Mail.

Though Ashley Young performed well at left-back this season, Jose Mourinho is keen to add a specialist at the position and views the Brazilian as an ideal signing.

The 27-year-old is likely to cost Man Utd around £45 million (€51m/$60m).

Iniesta set for Japan move

Andres Iniesta is set to move to Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe, reports Daily Sports .

Vissel Kobe will hold a press conference this weekend, and it is understood the former Barcelona midfielder will be unveiled there.

Chelsea add Jokanovic to shortlist

Chelsea have added Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic to their managerial shortlist, reports Evening Standard.

The Blues are preparing for the exit of Antonio Conte, whose departure is set to be announced imminently after two seasons at the helm. 

Jokanovic has impressed Chelsea's management after leading the Cottagers to the Championship play-off final while playing an entertaining brand of football on a tight budget. 

Man Utd not willing to sell Martial within PL

Manchester United are open to offers for Anthony Martial but do not wish to sell him to another Premier League side, reports  Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old recently completed a frustrating season at Old Trafford that ended with him being left out of France's World Cup squad. 

United are open to cashing in on the former Monaco man this summer but fear he could come back to haunt them if they sell to Chelsea or Tottenham, who are both interested.

Emery to have little say in Arsenal transfers

Incoming Arsenal manager Unai Emery has agreed to work within the club's transfer structure, reports the Mirror

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis and head of football operations Raul Sanllehi will oversee a transfer-market effort led by head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy.

The structure gives Emery little input in transfer dealings, with the Spaniard set to focus mostly on matters taking place on the field. 

Juve to enter Milinkovic-Savic race

Juventus are set to join the race for coveted Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Tuttosport .

The Serbia international has drawn interest from all over Europe with his displays, as Manchester United have been strongly linked.

The 23-year-old is expected to cost between €80 million (£70m/$94m) and €100m (£88m/$118m).

Arteta set for new City deal

Mikel Arteta is set to be handed a new contract at Manchester City after missing out on the Arsenal managerial job, reports The Telegraph.

Arteta was nearing a deal to take over for Arsene Wenger before a late turn of events saw Unai Emery given the position instead.

The Spaniard will now continue as Pep Guardiola's assistant, with City management viewing the 36-year-old as a long-term successor to the former Barcelona and Bayern manager. 

Pellegrini to be handed £75m war chest

New West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is set to be handed £75 million (€86m/$101m) in the transfer market to remake the side, reports the Mirror

The Hammers are looking to get younger, with Michail Antonio and Jordan Hugill set to be sold and James Collins already released. 

Newcastle’s Jamal Lascelles and Burnley’s James Tarkowski are two of the side's biggest defensive targets for the summer, with West Ham also looking to upgrade their attack. 

Arsenal confident in landing Germany starlet

Arsenal feel they are in good position to sign Hamburg defender Josha Vagnoman, reports  ESPN FC.

The 17-year-old has already made his Bundesliga debut and has drawn interest from the Gunners, Chelsea, Everton, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

With former Dortmund scout Sven Mislintat now head of recruitment and Per Mertesacker set to begin as reserve team manager, Arsenal feel their German connections will give them a leg up in the race for the highly coveted Germany U-17 star. 

Brighton close to landing PSG teen

Brighton are closing in on the signing of 17-year-old centre-back Moussa Sissako from Paris Saint-Germain, reports The Sun.

Sissako has been offered a professional deal with PSG, but will instead head to the Amex Stadium on a four-year contract. 

The Seagulls landed Sissako ahead of competition from Wolves, RB Leipzig and Marseille.

Adams to make RB Leipzig move

RB Leipzig are closing in on signing Tyler Adams from sister club New York Red Bulls, according to Kicker

The 19-year-old has impressed in Major League Soccer and has made his debut for the United States national team.

Adams, who can play full-back or central midfield, will join up with Leipzig at the conclusion of the MLS season.
