Sunday Oliseh has called for full support for Nigeria as they trade tackles with Iceland at the Volgograd Arena on Friday.

After they suffered a defeat in their opening game against Croatia, the three-time African champions are in dire need to claim victory against Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men to bolster their chances of progressing to the Round of 16.

And the former Super Eagles coach, a member of the team to the 1994 World Cup where the West Africans got to the second round, has taken to the social media to urge the fans to rally round Gernot Rohr’s men.

“I implore you, If there is ever a time when we all have to come together, pray and support the super eagles,it is today vs Iceland,” Oliseh tweeted.

“I believe our boys will win, they need our full backing and Prayers.

“With Argentina Faltering, a win could just usher us the path to the 2nd Round.”
