Sofapaka are close to sealing the signing of Bernard Mang'oli after his contract with AFC Leopards expired.

The Ingwe captain has reportedly agreed to sign for the 2009 league champions and the signing might be made official by the end of the week. Surprisingly, it seems his 'to be' coach Sam Ssimbwa is not aware of this deal and it seems he does not know him.

"Mang'oli? Who is he?", The Ugandan asked when reached for comment. "I have not heard about him, who is he? Actually you are the first one to tell me about him. If I wanted a player from Leopards, then it will be Kateregga, I love him, I love his play but as for Mang'oli, no."

Club President Elly Kalekwa says maybe it is because the coach does not know most of the players, but the club is interested in Mang'oli. "Yes, we have been following this man for quite some time now. The coach is new, he might not be aware of him but we all know he (Mang'oli) is a good player."

Sofapaka are currently placed sixth on table with 20 points, seven behind leaders Gor Mahia.
