Perak played out to yet another draw in the Super League, their third in a row after they were held by Kedah 1-1 at Perak Stadium on Wednesday night. In the two prior matches to this one, Perak drew 2-2 with T-Team at home and 3-3 away to Sarawak.

In the Kedah match, Perak took the lead in the 61st minute through Hafiz Kamal before a Baddrol Bakhtiar free kick just 10 minutes later meant that it was a shared point for both team.

Perak 1 Kedah 1: Baddrol's freekick goal rescues point for Red Eagles

Coach of Perak, Mehmet Durakovic chose to look at the positives and was happy that his charges followed his instructions. Despite what was a poor pitch after the weather took a turn for the worse, the Australian remained pleased with what was shown.

"We played really well. The game plan went perfectly. But they scored a fantastic goal through Baddrol. It was a fantastic game where both teams want to play football, so everyone should be happy. It's not easy. The pitch was very heavy but both team tried to play football and that makes me happy enough," said Mehmet in an interview with the official broadcaster.

It was a sentiment that was echoed by Perak's captain, Shahrom Kalam. No doubt frustration have crept in after no win in their last four competitive matches. Without a clean sheet in any of those four matches as well, Shahrom knows that he and his team mates will need to continue to work hard in the coming matches.

"We already gave our best but it's a missed opportunity because we're playing at home. We still have a lot of improvement to do but I have to say well done to Kedah as well. We have to stay positive and move forward to face T-Team," said Shahrom in the same interview.

Poor pitch disrupted Kedah's gameplans - Cheng Hoe

Perak travels to Kuala Terengganu next week to face T-Team, who is seeking payback having conceded a late penalty in the 2-2 draw between both sides in Ipoh a few weeks back.
