Tanzania National team skipper, Mbwana Samatta has praised fellow Taifa Stars striker, Shiza Kichuya after his recent performance which helped the National team defeat DR Congo in a friendly match.
The pair linked up to help Taifa Stars win 2-0 on Tuesday. Kichuya set up the opening goal which was scored by Samatta and then the KRC Genk’s forward turned provider for the second goal which was scored by the Simba winger.
Speaking to Goal, Samatta said that Kichuya is one among the most important players in the national team squad, and his run, pace, vision, and creativity makes his teammates very comfortable on the pitch.
“He is one of the best players in the national team, his work rate is amazing and he tries to bring other players in to the game,” said Samatta.
In the current season, Kichuya has scored six goals and created another four goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for Simba.
