The Burundian defender was among the players, who trained at Camp Toyoyo under the watchful eyes of coach Hassan Oktay and his assistant Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno as they prepare for a Caf Champions League match on Sunday.
Goal.com photographer captured Nizigiyimana in high spirits as he was taken through the paces. The defender is yet to feature for the club this season, after he was released despite his contract set to end in January.
“Karim is just training with us to keep fit. There is nothing beyond there. He wants to keep fit and we have given him the chance to train with us,” Gor Mahia CEO Omondi Aduda told Goal.com in an interview.
His exit from K’Ogalo triggered interest from a host of Kenyan clubs led by rivals AFC Leopards Sofapaka, Tusker and Bandari. Gor Mahia are also scheduled to take on Lobi Stars of Nigeria in the Caf Champions League on Sunday.
