Police investigates Aaron Wan-Bissaka bottle incident in Crystal Palace-Newcastle clash

The defender was struck during the Eagles' clash with the Magpies in September although he was unhurt

Police are investigating an incident where Crystal Palace wing-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka was hit by a bottle thrown by a fan.

The 21-year-old was struck with the object in Palace’s 0-0 stalemate with Newcastle United on September 22 at Selhurst Park.

Although he appeared unscathed as he lasted for the entire duration of the game, the incident was probed by the Football Association.

And according to Sky Sports, the Police are now investigating the incident and recently released an image of the culprit that threw the bottle as they continue in their quest to apprehend him.

Wan-Bissaka has been a consistent fixture for Roy Hodgson’s men this season featuring in all but one of their Premier League games.

He will be expected to be involved when Crystal Palace take on Leicester City on Saturday.
