Pitch invader on crutches makes a mockery of A-League security

How on earth did he make it that far?

Speed is usually the one thing any good pitch invader needs, but a man on crutches has defied that logic as he interrupted an A-League match between Central Coast Mariners and Sydney FC on Saturday.

With the Sky Blues leading 2-1 in the 69th minute, play was halted for just over a minute as a man in a moon boot somehow managed to wander all the way into Sydney FC's box.

Wearing a Wallabies shirt and NRL shorts, it wasn't exactly a great endorsement for the A-League nor Central Coast Stadium's security - who took some time to escort the man from the pitch.

Suffice it to say, social media had a field day with the bizarre sight.
