Piszczek scored one and created his side's other two goals to help BVB return to winning ways after defeats to Darmstadt and Benfica.
"Piszczek has been in superb form recently," Tuchel stated at a news conference.
"He put in a strong performance against Benfica and did the same against Wolfsburg.
"He represents everything Borussia Dortmund stand for."
Saturday's win saw Dortmund move into third place in the table and Tuchel was pleased with his side's display at Signal Iduna Park.
"We were focused right until the very end," Tuchel added.
"We created a lot of chances and did not concede many chances. We were very disciplined at the back.
"There is still more to come, though."
The hosts were playing without the backing of the Yellow Wall with the Sudtribune closed following disturbances at the recent home game against Leipzig.
Tuchel hopes it was a one-off and praised those in attendance, adding: "The atmosphere was a bit comical, but the mood was still great.
"I can only give those who were there a compliment. But we hope this will not happen again."
