Gor Mahia defender Philemon Otieno has penned an emotional letter to his former coach Dylan Kerr.
Kerr resigned from his position on Thursday, but the defender took time to share the good memories he had with the former Simba coach during his one and a half years stay with K’Ogalo.
"Thanks, coach for believing in me when I was down and out. Thanks for trusting in me when I had even my own doubts. Thanks for pushing me to emerge as a champion… you’re my ultimate source of inspiration. Best of luck in your future,” penned the defender.
The former Ushuru defender, who joined Gor Mahia two years ago, made his name under Kerr, where he was a constant figure in the K’Ogalo first team that successfully retained their Kenyan Premier League title, won two Super Cup titles besides reaching the Caf Confederation Cup group stages.
Gor Mahia are currently under assistant coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno as the Kenyan champions shop for Kerr’s replacement.
Gor Mahia will kick off their league defense against Bandari on December 8. In the continental front, K’Ogalo will tackle Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi n the Caf Champions League preliminary stage on November 27.
