Paul Nkata: Kakamega Homeboyz ready to shine in Super Cup

Homeboyz is among four Kenyan teams that will take part in the annual Super Cup tournament set for Afraha Stadium

Kakamega Homeboyz, Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the annual Super Cup tournament.

The four teams will face teams from Tanzania, among them Simba SC and Yanga, with the winner travelling to England where they will tackle Everton FC. It is a blessing for Homeboyz new coach Paul Nkata, who says he will use the tournament to gauge his players.

“I cannot say that we are going to sign or not because I have just arrived. The Super Cup is on the way and this will be a great opportunity for us to test our players and gauge them well. From there I will make my decision whether I am signing or not.

“It is a great challenge, we are playing some of the best sides in the region and we will give our best as well.”

The Western-based side is currently placed ninth on the log.
