Sources at Vihiga United told Goal that Mururi could take up the role of an assistant to Edward Manoah.

Those close to the ongoing at the clubs say that Manoah could be elevated to the role of the technical director with his place being filled by Mururi.

“Mururi deliberately refused to renew contract at the beginning of the season because his mind was set somewhere else. He on his way out and this (Tusker match) could be his last with us.”

Former Bandari and Tusker coach Nkata has emerged as a front-runner to replace the former Kenyan international.
