Orlando Pirates winger Riyaad Norodien could rejoin Ajax Cape Town on loan

Orlando Pirates midfielder Riyaad Norodien has been linked with his former club Ajax Cape Town.

The 22-year-old winger, who has struggled with injuries since joining Bucs from Ajax last year, is yet to establish himself at the Soweto giants.

According to The Citizen source, the Pirates technical staff believe that sending Norodien out on loan will be good for him to regain his confidence.

“Norodien is a marvellous player, we all know what he is capable of doing," the source said.

"But to be honest he has not been the same player in the last couple of months, that is why the club is considering sending him out on loan," the source continued.

“I hear Ajax will be good for him because that is where he made a name for himself and will feel comfortable,” the source concluded.

Norodien, who represented South Africa at the 2017 Cosafa Cup in North West, has made only one PSL appearance for the Buccaneers this season.

Last season, he featured in 11 league games - scoring once in the process.
