The Naze Millionaires player believes that they deserved better than the results they have posted in the last three games after another loss

Heartland midfielder, Oluchukwu Nwosu says their recent spate of bad results is unexplainable judging by the amount of hard work they put into the last three matches especially their Wednesday 2-1 loss away to Akwa United in Uyo.

The Naze Millionaires scored first through Francis Momoh before the goals of Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Haggai Katoh turned the results of the match around in favour of the Promise Keepers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Nwosu, who missed the game due to an injury he sustained in their away tie with MFM, said the report he got from the game he was convinced that they ought to have left Uyo with at least a point because they dominated the game in the first half but were unable to match the same level of intensity in the second half.

“It was a game we deserved to pick a point at least because we really played well from the information I got,” Nwosu told Goal.

“We were superb in the first half and were rewarded with the opening goal. We ought to build on that lead but I was informed that our game dropped in the second half and they scored a late winner to our disappointment.

“I can’t really explain what could be responsible for our recent defeats because we have always been playing with our hearts.

“We have a tough game against Nasarawa United this weekend and it is a must win one for us. We can’t afford to lose more points because the three matches we have lost have really dealt a big blow to our aspirations to move out of the relegation zone.”

Heartland are 18th in the league table 13 points from 13 matches and they will host Nasarawa United in Owerri in a must win game if they do not want to sink further in the relegation zone.
