Coach Nikola Kavazovic may not be present for AFC Leopards opening Kenyan Premier League match against Kariobangi Sharks.
The Serb missed Ingwe's friendly match against Ulinzi Stars on Saturday, a move that left a section of fans making wild guesses with some alleging that the former Township Rollers tactician could have fallen out with the management.
Goal had earlier reported that the Serbian skipped the match intentionally following a misunderstanding between him and the club's management.
But Kavazovic has since come out to explain his absence: "Sorry to be absent for a while for family matters."
Goal.com has, however, learned that Kavazovic traveled back to his home country to attend to his ailing father.
Tom Juma, who was recently appointed the Operations Manager and goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo will handle the team in the absence of Kavazoovic: "Be sure my assistant will take a good care of the team. Meanwhile, I'm in communication with the team."
Leopards has so far defeated Premier League rivals Posta Rangers, KCB and Ulinzi Stars in the previous friendlies
