Melis Medo admits a lot of work still needs to be done at Sofapaka

Sofapaka coach Melis Medo has admitted that he needs to do more with his squad between now and December 8 when the 2018/19 KPL season kicks off.

While reacting after watching his players sail to a comfortable win over lowly ranked Ruiru Hots Stars in a build-up match, the American tactician was pleased with the overall performance, but still admitted that a lot has to be done.

“It was good to see the different players playing in different systems. We are still building up the team and the cohesion with the new players and everything is coming out okay. However, we have a lot to do and work on before the season starts,” Medo was quoted by Sofapaka.co.ke.

Some good news for Medo is the fact that his new signings have shown signings of sharpness in front of goal after John Avire, Ibrahim Kajjuba and Titus Achesa all registered their names on the score sheet.

Ugandan import Umaru Kasumba hit a brace while Kenya’s U-23 striker Pistone Piston Mutamba also got his name on the score sheet.

All the Sofapaka new signings played in the match with Burundian keeper Justine Ndikumana playing a huge role in the second session.
