Yanga have endured a poor spell since the George Lwandamina's departure

Following their 1-0 victory over Mbao FC on Tuesday, former Tanzania champions Yanga will play host to Ruvu Shooting on Friday in another league game.

Yanga have endured a poor spell since the departure of their former Head Coach, George Lwandamina having won just once in their past ten games in all competitions.

The Jangwani lads will take on Ruvu Shooting who sit eighth with 36 points 15 behind them after 28 games.

In the reverse fixture, Yanga won 1-0, thanks to a first half strike from Ibrahim Ajib.

Yanga are on the front foot when it comes to meetings between the two teams having beaten them four times and drawn once in the past five games.

However, Ruvu Shooting will approach the game in a good mood after enjoying recent good form with three wins, one draw and one defeat in their past five games compared to Yanga’s four defeats and one win.

Speaking to Goal ahead of the game, Ruvu Shooting spokesman, Masau Bwire said that they are prepared to win the game because they have a better team compared to Yanga.

“We are better than Yanga so there is nothing that can stop us from snatching a win,” said Bwire.

In the match, Yanga will be without Kelvin Yondani who is still banned following his mis-conduct against Asante Kwasi in the Dar es Salaam Derby.

Juma Abdul is still out due to an injury he sustained when they faced Mtibwa Sugar.

Papy Tshishimbi, Donald Ngoma are also not available for the match because of injury, while there is no updates on Obrey Chirwa and Amis Tambwe who were sidelined in the last game against Mbao.
