Mamelodi Sundowns have signed Ghana international Razak Brimah

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Ghana international goalkeeper Razak Brimah.

It was reported early on Tuesday by Ghanaian publication Ghana Soccernet that the 30-year-old underwent and passed a medical in Accra on Monday and has subsequently joined the Tshwane giants on a three-year deal, after leaving Spanish Segunda Division club Cordoba at the end of the 2016/2017 campaign.

Brimah becomes the second Ghanaian to make the move to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) during the 2017 July/August transfer window after another Masandawana target in Richard Ofori joined Maritzburg United recently. Although, Brimah struggled for game time at Cordoba, making only four league appearances last season, he brings with him a ton of international experience, having played in two Africa Cup of Nations. Most recently, Brimah was Ghana’s number one goalkeeper at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon earlier this year, and will be seen as a suitable replacement for the recently departed Wayne Sandilands.
