Kwara United will take remaining NPFL games seriously, says Sunday Akinmoladun

Sunday Akinmoladun says Kwara United will confront with seriousness every of their remaining 14 Nigeria Professional Football League matches.

Before the break, the Harmony Warriors defeated Ifeanyi Ubah 1-0, moving up to 15th position with 29 points - a point above the drop the relegation places.

With Abubakar Bala’s men sitting dangerously near the drop zone, the former Niger Tornadoes man assures his mates will fight hard to ensure they end the season above the relegation zone.

“We are eagerly waiting for the league to resume and hoping it will not take too long,” Akinmoladun told Goal.

“We are already getting tired of training for almost two months and still don’t know when the league will be back. The most important thing is that we have to keep preparing as we need to take every of our remaining game as seriously as we can. One game at a time, exactly.

“I am happy with the standard of friendlies we’ve played so far. It was very intensive, all because of this particular task of making sure that we are ready to fight for us to remain in the league.

“Definitely, we are going to do our best. We have our targets, and this [game] will help us to accomplish them. That’s what we’re looking at.”
