Veteran midfield star ditches Batoto ba Mungu for National Super League side Vihiga Utd in on-going transfer window

Veteran midfielder Charles Okwemba has ditched Sofapaka for Vihiga United, Goal understands.

Okwemba, who previously turned out for AFC Leopards, is said to have the Western-based club that is fighting to earn promotion to top flight next season. A source close to the player revealed, "Okwemba is no longer a Sofapaka player. He has decided to join Vihiga United because they want to make it to the top league."

Okwemba has been very instrumental for Batoto ba Mungu managing two goals before the league took a break. Sofapaka have already raided Chemelil Sugar and signed veteran Hillary Echesa and defender Willis Ouma.
