AFC Leopards is set to do away with striker Paul Kiongera for remaining part of the season.

The experienced man has turned out for KCB, Gor Mahia and Simba SC, but his spell at The Den has been characterized by injuries. Club chairman Dan Mule has exclusively revealed to Goal that the striker will be cut loose in current transfer window. "Kiongera is a good striker, but he has not been so helpful to us, we all know how injury prone he has turned out to be.

"For the interest of the club, we are releasing him. As a team we wish him the best of luck. As for Bernard Mang'oli, we are working hard to retain him and we have set a meeting with him to negotiate for contract renewal."

AFC Leopards are set to play Mathare United at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.
