Ulinzi Stars jumped to the third in the Kenyan Premier League after downing Chemelil Sugar 2-0 in an entertaining match played at Afraha, Nakuru on Sunday.

After missing several opportunities, Oliver Ruto set the ball rolling in the 18th minute from a free kick.

On form Masita Masuta scored the second to ensure the four times league champions bag maximum points.

Meanwhile, Tusker FC continued with its revival after registering a 3-2 win against Sony Sugar.

The Brewers hit the back of the net courtesy of Timothy Otieno who scored a brace, and a late goal by Boniface Muchiri.

George Abege scored a brace for the sugar cane farmers who will feel undone following their perfect pressing. 

Elsewhere, Nicholas Muyoti's Thika United suffered another setback against Nzoia Sugar after the milkmen fell 3-0.

The Western-based side scored their goals through Elvis Rupia, who scored in the 70th and 84th minute.

The third goal came in the 88th minute to give the 2016 NSL champions deserved win.

Lastly, Wazito shocked Sofapaka by claiming a 1-0 win at Camp Toyoyo. The lone goal was scored by Tumba Swedi.

Earlier in the game, goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya had missed a penalty for his side.
