Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns to go head-to-head for Lebusa's signature

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly ready to battle it out for the services of Ajax Cape Town wing-back Mosa Lebusa.

The 24-year-old has been outstanding for the Urban Warriors over the past two seasons, and the two Gauteng teams have made their intentions known to his current employers.

Chiefs currently have Sibusiso Khumalo and Tsepo Masilela as their left full-backs, but they are looking to increase competition by acquiring Lebusa from Ajax.

Sundowns on the other hand, have had to rely heavily on Tebogo Langerman despite also having Fares Hachi and Mzikayise Mashaba at their disposal.

However, the two giants of South African football will have to dig deep into their own pockets to land Lebusa, who is still contracted to the Mother City outfit.

Lebusa came through the youth structures at Ajax, and he has established himself as one of the reliable left-backs in the country.

He made 28 appearances in all competitions for Ajax last season, and contributed positively in the club's quest for a top eight finish.

Ajax could be tempted to sell to their highest bidder, but with that in mind, it is Lebusa who will have to make a final decision on his future.
