The midfield dynamo is said to have stopped training with the club as he looks for his next destination

Bidvest Wits midfielder Jabulani Shongwe has reportedly stopped training with the club.

The 27-year-old player is said to be up for sale at the PSL champions as he is not part of the team's plans.

As it stands, the club is yet to receive any concrete offers for him despite having been linked with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates according to the latest reports.

He did not feature for the club in the league last season and he was not present during their pre-season camp in Stellenbosch recently.

Shongwe still has a year left on his Wits contract and the club have realised the value attached to his expertise that is diminishing because of his lack of game-time.

He joined Wits from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2014 after impressing them on-loan, and he didn't take long to settle in at the Students.

However, his situation changed with the emergence of Phumlani Ntshangase, Ben Motshwari and the arrivals of Thabang Monare, Xola Mlambo and Granwald Scott.
