ISL 2017: Pune City apologise to FC Goa for Pradhyum Reddy's scathing comments on Sergio Lobera

FC Pune City have apologised to FC Goa for their assistant coach Pradhyum Reddy's comments on the Gaurs' coach Sergio Lobera, Goal has learnt.

The former Bengaluru FC second-in-command had launched a scathing attack on Lobera as he talked up the lack of opportunities for Indian coaches in ISL. He commented that FC Goa assistant coach Derrick Pereira was more knowledgeable when it came to coaching compared to their head coach Sergio Lobera.

"Derrick [Pereira] has far more knowledge about coaching than [FC Goa head coach] Sergio Lobera and it will be a case of Lobera learning more from Derrick than the other way round" spoke Reddy to Times of India.

Following this, Pune City have clarified their stance through an apology letter in which they have distanced themselves from the words of their head of development.

"Pune sent a letter to FC Goa stating that it was a personal statement (by Pradhyum Reddy) and does not represent the views of the club (FC Pune City)," stated an FC Goa official to Goal. "They also apologised to Lobera and Derrick."

Both Sergio Lobera and Derrick Pereira have refrained from making any comment so far but newly appointed Pradhyum Reddy seems to have landed himself in hot water.
