Mumbai City FC restricted Steve Coppell’s Jamshedpur team to a 2-2 draw on Friday evening after Izu Azuka and Thiago Santos grabbed a brace each for their sides.
Had The Islanders clinched full points at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, it would have been their third win on the trot. On breaking the team's winning rhythm, head coach Alexandre Guimaraes mentioned that he was satisfied with the one point despite a shaky performance in the initial-half.
‘’Today we tried to win the game. We started well. We lost control in the last minutes of the first half but we got one point. I am happy with a point. We will now focus on our home games,’’ he commented.

The pitch of The Furnace received criticism for its quality in the first home fixture of the season but the Costa Rican manager believed that it isn’t the same anymore, ‘’The pitch was much better than the other games.’’
Lastly, reflecting on the game, the 58-year-old stated that the changes made by his troops in the latter-half helped them bag the all-important point.
‘’As I said yesterday, we knew it was a tough match. We lost focus in the last seven-eight minutes of first-half. Jamshedpur FC played attacking (football). Our modifications in the second-half worked and we got a point,’’ he concluded.
