Inter pushing Kondogbia to exit door with Chelsea interested

EXCLUSIVE

Geoffrey Kondogbia is being targeted by a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea as Internazionale push him to the exit door by listing him for a loan, as well as a permanent transfer, ahead of the January transfer window.

LEAKED: Hazard's incredible bonus

As previously revealed by Goal, the France international has interest from "many Premier League clubs," as well as Marseille, but that he isn't interest in a return to Ligue 1 with the likes of Chelsea and others adding him to their shortlists.

But despite reports in Italy linking Kondogbia with Liverpool, Goal understands that Jurgen Klopp is only keen on adding options to his forward line and will not pursue Kondogbia.

Chelsea will only consider buying Kondogbia if they sell one or more of their midfielders in January, but are watching his situation along with that of Fiorentina's Milan Badelj, who will also be available in January.

Kondogbia has struggled since his record-breaking €31 million move from AS Monaco to the Serie A giants in 2015 under the then Inter manager, Roberto Mancini. His struggles have continued this season under Frank de Boer and haven't improve since new boss Stefano Pioli took over at the start of November.

Meanwhile, Marseille could help Chelsea off-load talent by signing John Obi Mikel, who has yet to make an appearance for the club this season and is likely to be sold. Marseille will face competition from China and other European clubs, as his agent John Shittu exclusively revealed to Goal back in November

'Mourinho's time may have passed'

AC Milan remain interested in Cesc Fabregas, but he favours staying and fighting for his Chelsea place until at least the end of the season after recently filling in successfully for an injured Nemanja Matic - in his side's 3-1 victory over Manchester City.

Chelsea have made Marco van Ginkel available for loan after he successfully recovered from injury and he is on Fenerbahce's list of targets for January.
