International friendly: India U-19 0-1 Singapore U-19 : 10-man India Colts crumble to defeat against jammy visitors

India U-19 team lost 1-0 to Singapore U-19 in the second International friendly played by the two teams in the space of three days at the Bambolim stadium in Goa. The hosts, who had earlier registered a tremendous 7-2 win over the same opponents, failed to convert chances in what was a medicore sporting affair by both teams.

A cautious start by both teams resulted in a lack of action in the final third and a shot by the visitors which was tipped over by India U-19 custodian Aditya Patra in the 12th minute remained the only piece of action by either team during the entire first 45 minutes.

A flurry of substituitions in the second half by India failed to affect the proceedings as Patra was called into action again in the 63rd minute.

The breakthrough arrived soon after for the visitors, as Lalliansanga recieved his marching orders through a second yellow card for a silly foul inside the box. Adding insult to injury was Singapore's striker Zulkifli, who scored from the sport to give the lead that decided the outcome of the match.

India pressed for an equalizer with a man down and 15 minutes to go but Singapore held their nerves to see out the match and ensure victory.
