Hearts of Oak acquire defender Dankyi in a three-year deal

The youngster has put pen to paper with the Phobians in a three-year deal

Liberty Professionals defender William Dankyi has completed a three-year deal to Hearts of Oak, both clubs have confirmed.

The 18-year-old has been impressive with the Scientific Soccer Lads in the Ghana Premier League this season.

He comes as a direct replacement for Joshua Otoo, whose contract was mutually terminated few weeks ago.

Dankyi has become the second major signing by Hearts in the second transfer window following the arrival of goalkeeper Ernest Sowah from Asante Kotoko this week.

He is a member of Ghana U20 team and will likely play a role when the Black Satellites face Algeria in the second leg of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
