Amakhosi are currently sitting in sixth position with 18 points from 13 league matches, and Solinas admits that they have to win to stay in the race

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas said they plan to win every competition they compete in as his team sets sights on Golden Arrows in the league.

Amakhosi failed to reach the final of the Telkom Knockout Cup after losing to Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals, but they bounced back with a resounding 4-0 win over Zimamoto in the Caf Confederation Cup in midweek.

“We plan to compete in all competitions with the aim of winning them all. The fixtures are squeezed and do come at a fast pace,” Solinas told the Chiefs website.

The Glamour Boys are in Durban for their 14th league game of the season, and Solinas expects a fresh-looking Arrows on the day.

Abafana Bes'thende have had 21 days to prepare for this encounter not been in action, while Chiefs played twice during that period.

Solinas hinted that he will continue with his rotation policy as he looks to keep his squad motivated.

“We expect a sharp and fresh Arrows. Ours is to manage the squad and try to keep the spirit high in the camp. Where necessary we will rotate the squad to cater for the needs of the team.”

The 50-year-old mentor said Arrows face Chiefs at a stage where his charges are hungry for points, and he is confident that they will not disappoint their fans on the day.

“Arrows are a great side that plays with much enthusiasm, but they face us at a stage when we are hungry for points. We want to stay within touching distance of the log leaders. The match is going to be very tough for both teams, but from what I see in the camp, we are confident to collect maximum points. We have a duty to perform and uphold the Chiefs badge,” concluded Solinas.
