Ghana international Yussif Raman Chibsah scored his first goal of the season as Frosinone beat SPAL in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

The midfielder's first-half strike set The Canaries on the way to a 3-0 away triumph at Stadio Paolo Mazza.

He lasted for the entire duration of the game as he has done in all of Frosinone's preceding nine league games this season.

Chibsah, having picked up a booking in the 34th minute and seen an earlier goal disallowed on grounds of handball, opened the scoring with a glancing header five minutes to half-time after Camillo Ciano sent in a corner.

After recess, Ciano then turned finisher on 53 minutes, side-footing a low shot into the net from close range after Joel Campbell delivered a cut-back.

Mirco Antenucci then struck the foot of the upright in his quest to find a consolation for the home side, before substitute Andrea Pinamonti sealed the win for the visitors with a goal a minute to full-time.

Their first three points of the season, Frosinone sit second from bottom on the league table, four places below SPAL.

Chibsah will be hoping to see another 90 minutes of action when they play away to Parma on Saturday.

The former Sassuolo and Benevento man, a youth product of Juventus, joined Frosinone in January.

Compatriot and club mate Emmanuel Besea, meanwhile, was an unused substitute in Sunday's game.
