Francis Kimanzi will handle the national U-23 men’s team that will take part in an international friendly later this month.
Kenya will take on Uzbekistan in a build-up match in the upcoming Fifa week.
Though Football Kenya Federation are yet to officially announce the latest development, a source within the federation confirmed to Goal that Kimanzi will handle the team with John Kamau acting as his assistant.
“It is true we have a match coming up for the U-23 team and Kimanzi will be in charge,” revealed the source, who did not want to be named.
Kenya will take on Uzbekistan between March 19-27. The team is expected to be named in the coming week.
The national U-20 team, under the tutelage of coach Stanley Okumbi, are also preparing for a two-legged friendly match against Egypt.
