Fans' Asian Player of the Week: Guangzhou Evergrande's Alan Douglas

The Brazilian's display in the second leg of ACL quarterfinals has found favour with the fans who have voiced their approval..

Guangzhou Evergrande's Alan Douglas has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's heartbreaking loss to Shanghai SIPG in the AFC Champions League quarterfinal between the two teams. 

Alan Douglas who scored a brace and laid on another goal in a brilliant outing as Guangzhou battled back from a 4-0 deficit to make it 5-5 and force a penalty shootout where they ultimately fell. 

Also in the fray for the honour were Urawa Red Diamonds' Toshiyuki Takagi and Al Hilal's Carlos Eduardo - both of whom were impressive in their respective teams' games this past week.

The fans made their voice count as Alan received 50% of the votes while Eduardo was backed by 33% of the voters. Eisa remained a distant third with just 17% votes to his name.
